To be successful at marketing and sales, you have to believe in what you are selling. If you don’t believe in the product, it’ll show in your sales pitch…
Just when I thought the marketers supporting Obamacare couldn’t lose more credibility than they already have, this disaster of a commercial (watch above ad) is released…
Really? After all the failures surrounding the Affordable Care Act, and the inability of everyone involved to entice people to sign up, they think talking animals will do the trick?
What a disaster. The marketing strategy behind Obamacare, from the White House to the coalitions supporting it, has been weak, and likely wasted millions of dollars.
The marketers trying to drum up business for Obamacare have tried every trick in the book. They’ve attempted to garner support from all demographics, but come up lame. They’ve created advertisements targeting the homosexual community (created by a coalition known as Out2Enroll) by producing a strange holiday commercial, which many gay people found offensive. This is a peculiar one - not sure what the message is here, but take a look:
A different marketing group created a racy Obamacare ad targeting college women. The ad, to say the least, was belittling to women and invited promiscuity. Women on the campus of a Colorado University found it offensive - take a look for yourself:
And then there was this ad promoting Obamacare… is that an adult onesie?
I look at these ads for Obamacare and conclude, given how terrible they are, that the people creating them either:
A. Don’t really understand what the Affordable Care Act is
B. Don’t believe in the product
or
C. Were under the influence of psychedelics during production
Jimmy Kimmel Destroys Obamacare
To be a successful marketer you have to believe in the product you are selling. Obamacare is dysfunctional, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that these ads stink.
