I’ve grown accustom to many politicians and lobbyists lying. However, the latest example of political fudgery grinds my gears. It has to do with Obamacare, and the culprit is one of the law’s key architects, Jonathan Gruber.

By 2010, The White House had apparently paid Gruber $400K for his ‘expertise’ in helping put the ACA together so it could be passed.

When Democrats were trying to get Obamacare passed in 2009, then-Senator from Montana, Max Baucus, stated “The Congressional budget office and professor Gruber are both credible and unbiased sources, were not bought and sold by the insurance industry…”

I guess Gruber was just bought by the White House so that somehow makes him unbiased toward the law….

Check out Jonathan Gruber’s comments regarding getting Obamacare passed… the arrogance is astounding.

“This bill was written in a tortured way to make sure CBO did not score the mandate as taxes. If CBO scored the mandate as taxes the bill dies. Okay. So it’s written to do that.”

He also stated that, “…lack of transparency is a huge political advantage…”

Gruber continued, “Basically, you know, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically, that was really, really critical to getting the thing to pass.”

Wow!

In a separate speech, likely to a bunch of left-wing quacks, a smug Jonathan Gruber stated in respect to Obamacare, “… because America is too stupid to understand the difference.”

This guy clearly has a ton of respect for his fellow Americans…
