Nearly three months ago I wrote an in-depth report on augmented reality and holography. It documented how impactful both technologies will be for the global economy over the next 3 to 5 years.
Continual advancements in holography over the past decade have brought the technology to the point where it is damn close to revolutionizing the world. And I don’t use that term lightly. This isn’t hype. Click here to read my report and learn more.
Simplifying, I think holography, combined with augmented reality, will be used to create the next game changing innovation that boosts the world economy out of the doldrums, similar to what the internet did in the 90s. Within a decade, the two technologies will be as commonplace in our daily lives as the internet is today.
And I think one company in particular is going to be leading the innovation charge out of the gates. That company is one that has been heavily criticized over the past decade for allowing the likes of Apple and Google a free pass to its lunch. They’ve been deemed archaic in their way of thinking. But that’s all about to change.
Microsoft has targeted in on exactly what the next logical progression is for technology in our world.
Just three days ago the tech giant released a promotional video outlining its vision, and the features for the company’s ‘HoloLens’. This ad is perfectly on message and will have techies and the layman jacked up for the release of Microsoft’s new innovation. Watch the video above and you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about. This is game changing stuff, and the potential applications appear endless.
Microsoft’s HoloLens looks to have the Three E’s of a great technology. Having one E on its own can create a successful technology; but having all three… that’s a recipe to change the world.
The Three E’s of Great a Technology
1. Entertainment
2. Efficiency improvement
3. Enable (the enablement factor adds a new technology to an old which allows it to perform tasks that would otherwise be impossible)
Released just this past Wednesday, Microsoft’s HoloLens trailer already has nearly 10 million views on YouTube…
The cat is out of the bag. This is the next big thing in tech. This is the next great innovation the global economy has been starving for.
