Obama Says San Bernardino Shooting Was Terrorist Attack

Tuning in early to the Colts & Steelers game, I was interrupted by Obama giving his third Oval Office address “to the American people.” Perhaps because he’s such an ‘amazing orator’ according to the mainstream media, I couldn’t resist watching the lame duck President sound off.

Truthfully, I was interested to see what he would say. I knew about this planned speech, and wanted to see if he would define the mass shooting in San Bernardino as a terrorist attack. Thankfully, he did. As trivial as that may sound, it’s important to define it as such if we ever want to defeat these cowards.

Although sounding more like a lawyer than President, Obama said some good things about stopping ISIS and terrorism tonight… however, he also said there was “no evidence that the killers were directed by a terrorist organization overseas…”

The wife, and accomplice, of the the coward who led the shooting rampage,“praised the leader of the Islamic State group in a post at 11 a.m. Wednesday, when the couple was believed to have stormed a San Bernardino social service center and opened fire,” according to Huffington Post. And the lead shooter’s father, reported by CNN, said his son supported the ISIS ideology and believed his son was radicalized. Directly or indirectly, these terrorists acted on their twisted inspiration from ISIS. That appears to be fact.

Quotes (attached with my 2 cents) from Obama’s Address to the American People on December 6th, 2015.

“An act of terrorism…”

“Internet erases the distance between countries…” That’s a good thing. However, Obama made it sound like the internet is an enabler of terrorism.

“This is our strategy to destroy ISIL:” Is it ISIL or ISIS?

1. “Continue to hunt down terrorist plotters…”

2. “We will continue to provide training and equipment to tens of thousands of Iraqi and Syrian forces.” This will be in vain, as it has been in the past.

3. “We are working with friends and allies to stop ISIL’s operations, to disrupt plots, cut-off their financing, and prevent them from recruiting more fighters.” Not working. ISIS is gaining popularity among impressionable loners every day, making them harder to define and stop.

4. “With American leadership, the international community has begun to establish a process and timeline to pursue ceasefires and a political resolution to the Syrian war.” In other words, get rid of Assad, which at this moment in time looks like the wrong idea.

And then Obama turned to politics and gun control. That’s when I zoned out…
